Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
Most patients with vein disease have dilated tributary veins that are deep to the skin's surface and feed visible veins on the skin. These veins can only be seen with ultrasound. They must be eliminated to alleviate a patient's symptoms. The treatment process is simple: the vein is visualized on ultrasound and a tiny needle is inserted in the vein. The procedure is quick, no anesthetic is required, and there is minimal discomfort. Patients return to work and normal activities the same day.
