BBL™ Broadband light

The Sciton® BBL™ broadband light innovative technology sets new standards for the treatment of skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles and sun damage.  BBL light energy allows precise treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, age and sun spots, small facial veins, rosacea, redness and flushing, freckles, birth marks, port wine stains, red spots (hemangiomas), hyperpigmentation and other skin blemishes.

What will BBL™ treatment do?

The Sciton BBL™ utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent results in photorejuvenation therapy.  By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, we will be able to treat a broad range of skin conditions caused by skin aging and sun exposure.  Your skin will be smoother, more vibrant and it will have a more youthful appearance as a result.

How does it work?

The light energy delivered by the BBL™ will gently heat up the upper layers of your skin.  The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen.  This will help restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.  It can take two to five treatments at two to four week intervals to produce the desired results.   This is a non-invasive procedure with virtually no down-time.

What to expect post treatment?

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours.  Some of the pigmented lesions may initially get darker and have a speckled pattern, but will fade and flake off within a week.  Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine wrinkles and pores will be less noticeable, and sun spots or uneven pigmentation will fade.  We recommend following a good skin care regimen post treatment to continue to condition and enhance your results.
